Tucson Vascular Surgery is proud to announce our recent partnership with the Carondelet Health Network. As of January 1, 2010 we are part of the Carondelet Specialist Group in Tucson. We expect this partnership to allow us to continue to provide the excellence in advanced vascular care that we are known for, and to move toward the kind of collaborative communication between multiple providers and facilities that will make the healthcare system as a whole easier for patients to utilize. We have changed our name to Tucson Vascular Specialists to more accurately reflect the availability of newer, minimally invasive procedures. We can be contacted at the same phone numbers and are seeing patients at the same facilities.
Tucson Vascular Surgery was founded in 1997 by Scott S. Berman, MD with the mission of establishing a center of excellence for the care of patients in need of vascular intervention in Tucson's west-side hospitals, while continuing to contribute to the evolution of the specialty of vascular surgery through ongoing clinical and basic science research.

Our practice specialties include: |
Endovascular Surgery combining principles of traditional vascular surgery with minimally invasive treatments using angioplasty and stenting. Tucson Vascular Specialists established itself as a leader in this field by placing the first endovascular grafts for aortic aneurysms in Tucson in February 2000. We continue expanding the possibilities for minimally invasive treatment of thoracic aneurysms, renal artery stenosis, lower extremity disease and carotid artery disease through our ongoing research.
Complex Aortic Reconstruction including abdominal aortic and thoracoabdominal aneurysms and visceral and renal artery occlusive disease.
Limb Salvage Revascularization requiring bypasses in high-risk patients to tibial and pedal arteries.
Vascular Access with a special emphasis on dialysis access including fistulas, grafts, and catheters following DOQI guidelines.
Cerebrovascular disease including carotid endarterectomy, aortic arch branch reconstruction and angioplasty, carotid bifurcation angioplasty/stenting in non-surgical candidates.
Complex wound management resulting from arterial and/or venous insufficiency, diabetic foot infections and trauma. Free flap tissue transfer performed in concert with plastic and reconstructive surgeons.
Noninvasive Vascular Ultrasound testing is available at our Northwest office including carotid Doppler, Aortic and peripheral arterial imaging, physiologic arterial testing, renal artery imaging, mesenteric imaging and physiologic testing, venous imaging, and bypass graft surveillance. Our physicians and technologists are experienced and/or certified in vascular testing. |
